🎬 Film & Awareness Session at Karachi Library
In celebration of the International Week of the Deaf and the International Day of Sign Languages, we joined the British Council Pakistan Library in Karachi for a special screening of the BAFTA award-winning documentary Name Me Lawand, followed by a sensitisation session.
The film beautifully captures a young boy’s journey to finding his voice and identity through sign language. During our interactive session, participants learned about the beauty, power, and human right of communication through sign language — fostering awareness, inclusion, and respect for the deaf community. 💙
Let’s continue to recognise sign language as a bridge of equality and a fundamental human right for all.
