🕌 OPENING CEREMONY
The 5th Regular Weekly Meeting of Rotary Club Jhang Saddar was held in a warm and cordial atmosphere of Friendship, Fellowship and Service Above Self.
In the absence of Club President Rtn. Syed Hashim Taqi, the meeting was presided over by Rtn. Syed Nafees-ul-Hassan Naqvi, Vice President.
The proceedings commenced with the Recitation of the Holy Quran by Rtn. Muhammad Asghar, followed by the National Anthem of Pakistan.

💼 BUSINESS SESSION
📚 SEPTEMBER — BASIC EDUCATION & LITERACY MONTH
September is Basic Education & Literacy Month. The Club reaffirmed its commitment to promoting basic education, literacy and learning opportunities in the community, in line with Rotary’s focus on creating lasting impact.
🦋 WORLD POLIO DAY — 24 OCTOBER
Members discussed preparations for World Polio Day, 24 October, and reaffirmed the Club’s commitment to Polio Eradication and Rotary’s End Polio Now initiative.
💰 SAR DUES
Members were *reminded* that *SAR* for *1-July–31-December* must be cleared by
*5-September*,
while *SAR* for
*1-January–30-June* must be cleared by
*20-November.*
🏏 POLIO AWARENESS CRICKET ARENA NIGHT
The Club decided to organise a Cricket Arena Night at Paradise City for Club members. Members will wear Rotary Polio Awareness shirts and caps to promote the message of End Polio Now.
🌐 ROTARY INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE REPORT
Rtn. Syed Farrukh Hassan was scheduled to present a comprehensive report on the Rotary International Conference but could not attend due to a personal commitment. He was requested to present the report at the next Regular Weekly Meeting, keeping in view the limited time available.
🎤 MONTHLY GUEST SPEAKER
The Club approved a programme to invite at least one Guest Speaker every month.
In this connection, Rtn. Rai Ijaz Ali Ahmad invited Mr. Muhammad Afzal Kathia, SE FESCO, to attend the next Regular Weekly Meeting on 9 September 2026 as Guest Speaker. Mr. Muhammad Afzal Kathia has committed to attend, and the Club approved the arrangement.
⚽ FOOTBALL & END POLIO NOW INITIATIVE
A proposal was discussed to provide a football team with complete sports kits carrying the Rotary Club Jhang Saddar and End Polio Now logos, followed by the organisation of a football tournament.
The proposal was approved in principle for further planning and necessary arrangements.

☕ FELLOWSHIP, REFRESHMENTS & HIGH TEA
The meeting concluded with a pleasant session of Fellowship, Refreshments and High Tea, providing members an opportunity for friendly interaction and strengthening the bonds of the Rotary Family.
🎶 CULTURAL FELLOWSHIP SESSION
As part of the concluding fellowship, Rtn. Syed Nafees-ul-Hassan Naqvi entertained the members with beautiful classical songs, while Rtn. Muhammad Asghar presented heartfelt poetry in his soulful voice. The performances were warmly appreciated by all members.
