Sost is a beautiful village as well as an attractive tourist destination in Gojal (Upper Hunza), Hunza District of Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. It is located at a distance of 184 km from the main Gilgit city on Karakoram Highway before the China Border at Khunjerab Pass (the highest border crossing in the world).

Pakistan and China have opened border for trade and tourism. All traffic, crossing the Pakistan-China border, passes through the Sost village where the first formal Dry Port facilitates customs clearance and other formalities for goods moving from China to the commercial centers of Pakistan. Accordingly, the Pakistani immigration and customs departments are established here.

The people speak the Wakhi and Brushki Languages in Sost Village. The Sost village is a perfect tourist destination where the visiting tourists admire the peaceful environment and high level of hospitality of the local people.



To reach Sost Village one can either fly to Islamabad and drive to Hunza and later into Sost which is the last village inside Pakistan on the Karakoram Highway before the Chinese border or one can also fly into Kashgar or Urumqi in China and drive into crossing the Pak-China border at Khunjerab Pass, where the first village inside Pakistan is Sost. In winter due to heavy snow, the border crossing between China and Pakistan through Khunjerab Pass remains block.

سیرو تفریح کیلئے سفر کرنے کی چند گزارشات

1) فجر کے فوراً بعد سفر شروع کریں اور مغرب تک اپنی منزل تک پہنچ جائیں ۔ رات کے وقت پہاڑوں پر سفر کرنے سے گریز کریں ۔
2) گرمیوں کے موسم میں سیاحتی مقامات پر سیاحوں کی بھیڑبھاڑ ہوتی ہے اس لیے سفر پر جانے سے پہلے اپنے لیے رہائش کا انتظام یقینی بنائیں تاکہ وہاں جا کر پریشانی کا سامنا نہ کرنا پڑے ۔
3) گاڑی میں گنجائش سے زیادہ لوگ سوار نہ کریں ۔ گنجائش سے کم لوگ ہوں تو سفر بھی اچھا گزرتا ہے اور تفریح کا مزہ بھی آتا ہے ۔
4) پہاڑی شاہراوں پر سفر کرنا ہو تو گاڑی کا پٹرول ٹینک ہر وقت فل رکھیں ۔
5) پہاڑی شاہراوں پر لینڈ سلائیڈنگ یا بعض اوقات کسی احتجاج کی وجہ سے کئی کئی گھنٹے راستہ بند ہو جاتا ہے اس لیے اپنے ساتھ کھانے پینے کی اشیاء ضرور رکھیں ۔
6) پہاڑی شاہراہوں پر بارش اور برفباری میں سفر کرنے سے اجتناب کریں ۔ برفباری میں سفر کرنا ہو تو گاڑی کے ٹائروں کو لوہے کی چین ضرور لگائیں ۔
7) اپنے بچوں اور خواتین کو دریا ، ندی نالوں اور جھیلوں کے قریب جانے یا پانی میں اُترنے سے منع کریں ۔ پہاڑی علاقوں میں پانی ناقابل برداشت حد تک ٹھنڈا ، توقع سے زیادہ گہرا اور بہاؤ تیز ہو سکتا ہے ۔ سیاح خاص طور پر بچے اور خواتین عدم واقفیت کی وجہ سے سیلفیاں لینے کے چکر میں دریا میں اتر جاتے ہیں اور حادثات کا شکار ہو جاتے ہیں ۔
8) تقریباً ہر گاڑی کے دروازے میں کچرے دان بنا ہوتا ہے اپنا ہر قسم کا کچرا اُس میں رکھیں اور جہاں بڑا کچرے دان پڑا ہو وہاں خالی کریں ۔ سٹرکوں پر یا تفریحی مقامات پر کچرا نہ پھینکا کریں ۔
9) جس علاقے کا سفر کرنا ہو وہاں کے موسم کے بارے میں علم ہونا بہت ضروری ہے اور موسم کے حساب سے کپڑوں کا انتخاب کریں ۔
10) سردی سے حفاظت کیلئے گرم کپڑے ، بارش سے بچنے کیلئے چھتری اور برساتی ساتھ رکھیں ۔ عموماً خواتین اونچی ایڑی والے جوتے پہن کر پہاڑی علاقوں میں چلی جاتی ہیں۔ کوشش کریں کہ جوگر پہن کر جائیں یا کم از کم ساتھ رکھیں ۔
11) ہائیکنگ کا ارادہ ہو تو چھڑی اور جوتے ضرور ساتھ لے کر جائیں ۔
12) ہرعلاقے کی اپنی ثقافت اور روایات ہوتی ہیں اُنکا احترام کریں ۔
13) ضرورت سے زیادہ کھانے پینے سے پرہیز کریں ۔
14) نیشنل ڈش چائے پکوڑا ، چپس اور تلے ہوئے تمام کھانوں کی بجائے فریش فروٹس کا استعمال کریں ۔
15) راستہ میں بچوں کو پچاس ، سو کا نوٹ دے کر اُن کو بھکاری بنانے کی بجائے اُن کیلئے گھر سے سکول بیگ کی مختلف چیزیں یا کھانے پینے کی اشیاء لے کر جائیں ۔
16) ابتدائی طبی امداد کا سامان اور بنیادی ضرورت کی ادویات ہر صورت اپنے ساتھ رکھیں ۔
17)موٹر ویز پر سفر کرتے ہوئے ریسٹ ایریاز کی لوٹ مار سے بچنے کے لیے اپنے ہوم ٹاون سے ہی کھانے پینے اور دوسری ضروری اشیاء خرید کر ساتھ رکھیں.
18)ملک کے اندر سفر کریں یا ملک سے باہر ہم اپنے شہر یا ملک کے سفیر کی حیثیت رکھتے ہیں ۔ اپنے اچھے اخلاق اور حرکات سے اپنے علاقے کی بہترین نمائندگی کریں.۔

Deosai National Park (Urdu: دیوسائی باغ ملی) is a high-altitude alpine plain and national park located between the Skardu District, Kharmang District and Astore District in Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan.

The Deosai Plains are situated at an average elevation of 4,114 metres (13,497 ft) above sea level and considered the second highest plateaus in the world.

Bara Pani is the largest of the rivers that traverse Deosai National Park.
Deosai National Park is located in Western Himalayas in Gilgit Baltistan, Pakistan. It has an average elevation of 4,114 metres (13,497 ft) above sea level, making the Deosai Plains the second highest plateau in the world after Changtang Tibetan Plateau. The park protects an area of 843 square kilometres (325 sq mi). It is well known for its rich flora and fauna of the Karakoram-West Tibetan Plateau alpine steppe eco-region. In spring, it is covered by sweeps of wildflowers and a wide variety of butterflies.
