ہر شام یہ کہتے ھو کہ کل شام ملیں گے
آتی نہیں وہ شام جس شام ملیں گے

اچھا نہیں لگتا مجھےشاموں کا بدلنا
کل شام بھی کہتے تھے کہ کل شام ملیں گے

آتی ھے جو ملنے کی گھڑی__کرتے ہو بہانے
ڈرتے ھو ڈراتے ھوکہ الزام ملیں گے

یہ راہِ محبت ھےیہاں چلنا نہیں آساں
اس راہ میں تم جس سے ملوبدنام ملیں گے

دل لے کے وہ میراآرام سے بولے
بس خواب کی صورت تمہیں دام ملیں گے

امید ھے وہ دن بھی کبھی آئیں گے سُن لو
ھم تم سے ملیں گے اور_سرِ عام ملیں گے۔

طبیب دیکھے یہ منظر تو گھر چلا جائے
