The 1st Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) for 2026 was conducted on March 12, 2026, at 3:30 PM. The drill is a crucial exercise aimed at testing and strengthening the nation’s earthquake response capability, ensuring public safety through organized evacuation and proper emergency response procedures. During the drill, all personnel performed the “Duck, Cover, and Hold” protocol to ensure maximum preparedness in the event of an actual earthquake.
The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) Tandag Airport employees actively participated in the said drill. Their participation demonstrated cooperation, alertness, and readiness to respond to emergency situations.
The activity aimed to enhance the preparedness, awareness, and response capability of all personnel in order to ensure safety and minimize risks during earthquake incidents.
The successful conduct of the drill reflects the strong commitment of CAAP Tandag Airport to maintaining a high level of disaster preparedness, safety awareness, and emergency response readiness.
