Bursts of color and smiles permeated the field as Tagum City National High School’s Intramurals 2019 took flight.

The celebration started with the Parade of the Stars, where the athletes from different grade levels proudly raised their banners: the Grade 7 Green Hornets, the Grade 8 Yellow Tigers, the Grade 9 Red Dragons, the Grade 10 Blue Sharks, the Grade 11 Purple Wizards, and the Grade 12 Orange Vikings.

Students from every grade level showcased their talents, starting with a colorful mass demonstration, followed by a mob dance, a zumba dance, a bench yell performance, and a variety show.

In the afternoon, Cityhighers invaded the Climaco Maurillo Gymnasium, loudly cheering for their chosen candidates in the 2019 Mr. and Ms. Teentramurals.

The candidates walked with pride in their Festival attire, Uniform Attire, Casual Attire, and Formal Attire.

After 4 years, Mr and Ms Teentramurals 2015 Godwin Miles Maunes and Monica Serrano finally handed the crown to the two candidates hailed champion in the event, Mr. Ezekiel Corpuz from Grade 11 Newton, and Aliyah D. Booc from Grade 8 Diamond. // Jayson Ray Tagapan

MANINIYOT KA BA?
How to Take Great Sports Pictures during the Intramurals (and get yourself published)
by Edwin Oscar Gutierrez, Jr.

Since it will be difficult for the staff of The MOVER and Ang GALAW DIWA to cover all the sports events for the school's Intramurals tomorrow, we would like to encourage the students, family, coaches, tournament managers, and spectators to take pictures of the events.

Here are some tips for taking great sports pictures in general. For particular games, please read the captions on this post's pictures.

Since most action happens near the goal, find a place near the posts of the net or the basket.

Make sure your subject (the player/s) and the ball are in the picture.

Don't follow the play with your camera. Anticipate how and where the players are going to move, frame your shot there, and wait for them to get into the picture.

If you're using your phone's camera, put it on SPORTS MODE if it has this feature.

For DSLRs and phones which have the Professional Setting in their cameras which allows you to use it like a DSLR:

Set your SHUTTER SPEED between 1/500 to 1/250 of a second.
Set Your ISO to the lowest setting.
Set your APERTURE to f/5.6 or lower, ESPECIALLY FOR INDOORS.
If your camera has BURST MODE, use it.
FLASH should be TURNED OFF.
Take test shots before the game starts.

MAKE SURE YOU WON'T INTERRUPT THE GAME.

You can endorse your pictures to any of the TCNHS Press Corps. If your pictures are used in any of the Corps' publications and releases, you will be credited and recognized.

// Harvey Lander Gameng
