LSPH Conference strengthens public-private synergy to tackle logistics bottlenecks

Nearly 200 industry stakeholders and government representatives gathered at the Logistics Services Philippines (LSPH) Conference & Exhibit 2026, held on May 6 at the Fairmont Makati, underscoring the event’s role as a premier venue for high-level dialogue between policymakers and sector leaders.

Organized by PortCalls in partnership with the DTI Philippines–Supply Chain and Logistics Group (DTI-SCLG) and LSPH, a private sector-led platform composed of private sector associations and firms, the conference highlighted collaborative efforts to enhance the seamless movement of goods and reduce national costs.

| Customs Commissioner Ariel F. Nepomuceno, commended the Bureau of Customs (BOC) - Port of Batangas under the leadership of its District Collector Carmelita M. Talusan, for its outstanding performance and sustained accomplishments in revenue collection, trade facilitation, and border protection. The recognition was highlighted during the Collectors’ Conference in April, where the Port presented its best practices and operational strategies that contributed to its continued efficiency and effectiveness.

GOOD NEWS -- The registration of in the Bureau of Customs PH’ Client Profile Registration System (CPRS) is now valid for a longer period of time -- 3 years from the previous 1 year.

This, after Customs commissioner Ariel Nepomuceno in Office of the Commissioner Memo No. 51-2026 directed the configuration of the CPRS to reflect the longer validity period.
