The company’s 23-hectare research station in Tayug, Pangasinan, puts into play the company’s commitment to provide excellent seeds for Filipino farmers and consumers. With a strong research and breeding staff trained locally and internationally ABC's research station breeds and screens most of its new vegetable varieties which undergo years of rigorous testing and evaluation before they are eventually released for commercial distribution to farmers all over the country. Because of its commitment to excellence, ABC developed and released several superior varieties of sweet corn, lettuce and onion. The company recently released a new and stronger line of indigenous vegetables like ampalaya (bitter gourd), eggplant, calabasa (squash) and sitao (pole beans). These varieties are gaining nationwide fame for its superior resistance to diseases and high yielding traits even under varying atmospheric conditions.
