KOMBI RIDES It all started as a hobby and as a way to continue sharing same interest with my father....now it would be meaningful if I can share my rides to everyone!

My fascination with Classic Volkswagen started way back when I was in grade school...my mom compiled a baby album of mine and saw pictures of me, with my dad's Volkswagen beetle...

Over two decades later, Sept 2010 and living in South Korea, I finally saw an online post for sale of a 1974 Super Beetle 1303s in Philippines, phoned my dad to check it, and next thing I knew, he was already pulling i

t home.....so the journey begins

Allow me to reminisce, on the adventures I have had with my dad during the restoration of my 74' Super Beetle, 66' Bugeye, and specially 71' Westfalia Campmobile. And let me also take you with me on my new on-going restorations of 72' Tintop Kombi Camper, 77' Sakbayan (similar as Australian Country Buggy), and another all original 68' Westfalia Kombi camper! Feel free to join the conversations and give your ideas..... and when the fleet is ready hope you'll have fun sharing the ride with me!^^

Specially for Chromed and/or Stainless steel parts, I learned my lesson that buying an old but original surplus part is a lot better than new replacement part.

Remember SULIT.COM.PH? That's the oldest photo of Elsie prior her restoration works.
I then acquired ELSIE from another car collector way back Sept 2013. At that time she just had undergone general body repair, finished with just a primer.
Remaining task ahead of me were to complete her mechanically, electrically, final painting, outfitting of all brand new parts/accessories and upholstery.
She was finally restored last 2015 and after 5 long years, its good to see her as beautiful as before!

The typhoon Ulysses will be for sure in our minds for years to come due to the devastation it caused to many areas of our country....

My Pop-top Kombi Westfalia currently undergoing restoration narrowly escaped Ulysses! A big tree was uprooted by the wind and fell down directly onto it. Fortunately, we found out that only the pop-top fiberglass roof was damaged and its body was intact and unscathed! Now I realized how tough the German-made VW are made of!

Now that she has her "3rd Lease of Life", I'm promising that I will finally complete her back to Life!
