Hot Buoys Sailing Vessel

After selling Hot Buoys in Langkawi, I have begun the long process of thinking of what to do next. I currently have the idea of buying a vessel called a OMRA 60. This is a racing vessel with a very narrow main hull. I would need to remove the main hull and install a larger hull capable of providing decent accommodations.

I would never fly both the ama and the central hull as seen in this photograph.

I am in Langkawi where we were supposed to haul the vessel out of the water last month. However, a pandemic got in the way. First time I ever ran into a pandemic. Hope everyone is doing safe.

The corona virus has me stuck now in Langkawi while I wait for the boat yard to open. The plan is to haul the vessel out and paint the bottom. For now, I am in an apartment where I can look at the vessel from my 7th floor window. The vessel is just too hot to stay on now that the decks are repainted to gray. This is also the hottest month of the year.

Shark cage? I am back aboard to help new owner learn how to operate my former vessel. In addition to new railings, the new owner installed what I have termed shark cages. This sounds much better than the actual intended use. Overall the new owner and crew are doing a great job getting vessel ready to begin her next life serving tourists. The new name for the vessel will be Erica. It is the name of the owners daughter.
