5-day itinerary in and around Puerto Princesa

5 days Puerto Princesa Detailed Itinerary. Comment and Add your suggestions to highlight treasures.

​Day 1: Arrival & City Heritage Tour
​Arrival: Land at Puerto Princesa International Airport (PPS).

​Lunch: Head to Haim Chicken to try their signature "Chicken Inato" (local grilled chicken).

​Afternoon Activity: Take a City Tour.
​Visit the Palawan Wildlife Rescue and Conservation Center (Crocodile Farm) to see Philippine crocodiles.

​Stop by Mitra's Ranch for a scenic view of the ocean and Baker's Hill for famous local pastries and photo ops.

​Visit the Immaculate Conception Cathedral and the nearby Plaza Cuartel.

​Dinner: Dine at Kinabuchs Grill and Bar, a popular open-air spot perfect for large groups and famous for its "crocodile sisig" and "tamilok".

​Day 2: Underground River Adventure
​Morning/Afternoon: Travel to Sabang for the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park. This UNESCO World Heritage site features a spectacular boat tour through a massive limestone cave system.

​Dinner: Artisans Restaurant & The Bar (VFW Post 12224).Upstairs serves as a gathering spot for the VFW Post 12224. It’s known for great American and international comfort food, cold drinks, and a friendly atmosphere.

​Day 3: Honda Bay Island Hopping
​Daytime: Head to the Honda Bay Wharf and charter a boat to visit islands like Luli Island, Cowrie Island, and Starfish Island. Enjoy swimming, snorkeling, and a picnic lunch on the islands.

​Dinner: KaLui Seafood Restaurant.
​Important: Book your table days in advance. This artistic, barefoot-only restaurant serves a set seafood meal based on the catch of the day in a beautiful native setting.

​Day 4: Relax at Nagtabon Beach & Firefly Watching
​Daytime: Take a trip to Nagtabon Beach, a beautiful cove about 45 minutes from the city with golden sand and fewer crowds than the main islands.

​Evening: Experience the Iwahig Firefly Watching tour, a quiet paddle boat ride up the river to see thousands of fireflies in the mangroves.
​Dinner: Badjao Seafront Restaurant. Situated on stilts over the water, it offers excellent seafood and a refreshing sea breeze.

​Day 5: Souvenirs & Departure
​Morning: Shop for pearls and cashew nuts at the local market.
​Departure: Head to the airport for your flight home.

​Where to Stay
​Luxury: Princesa Garden Island Resort and Spa or Astoria Palawan (great for families).
​Mid-Range: Best Western Plus The Ivywall Hotel (modern & central) or Hue Hotels and Resorts Puerto Princesa.
​Boutique: Canvas Boutique Hotel (very close to the airport and stylish).

Sharing with you one of our fave beach destinations in Puerto Princesa. We actually lived here for a few months during the height of the 2020 Pandemic. 🏖️

Drive to SIMPOKAN 👌🏽

✈️ It is only an hour and a half away from Puerto Princesa Airport (including traffic).
About 1.5hrs from either Nagtabon beach or via Puerto Princesa South Road.

🛏️ Kiao Beach or Kaibigan Soul Camp

🏄🏽‍♂️: Activities to do: Surfing, fishing, beach volleyball, sunset watching, kayaking, river swim, skimboard, swimming. Chill.

🍽️: There's 3 restaurants at the beach and a few local grill shops offering fresh fish or grilled chicken/pork.

🍻: Look for Coco Blanca at the left side of the beach for some cocktails or cold beer. They have drums, cool music and bonfire at sunset.

“Beach or River? Why not BOTH! 🏖️

Drive to SIMPOKAN BEACH AND BIANYAS ECO CAMP then. 👌🏽

✈️ It is only an hour and a half away from Puerto Princesa Airport (including traffic).
About an hour from either Nagtabon or Talaudyong beaches along scenic coastal road.

🛏️ Only camping and basic beach room available (Bianyas Eco Camp) No resorts here. Basic toilet and food to be requested.

🚗We do private tours to this beach either day tour or overnight stay.
