Additional Cancelled Flights Due to Security Situation in the Middle East
As of March 1, 2026; 3:00 PM

Due to the evolving security situation in parts of the Middle East, Cebu Pacific (CEB) has cancelled the following flights scheduled on March 2:
·5J 14/15: Manila – Dubai – Manila
·5J 18/19: Manila – Dubai – Manila

The safety and well-being of our passengers, crew, and teams on ground remain our highest priority. We continue to closely monitor developments and assess flight operations in the region.

CEB is also providing flexible options, including free rebooking and Travel Fund conversion, to and from the following destinations:
·Dubai: March 1 – 4
·Riyadh: March 1 – 5

They may avail themselves of these options through the Manage Booking portal of the CEB website https://www.cebupacificair.com/manage-booking up to two (2) hours before their scheduled time of departure.

CEB will continue to assess its flight operations to and from the Middle East. As this remains a developing situation, further schedule adjustments may be necessary. Passengers are encouraged to check their flight status at cebupacificair.com/flight-status and ensure their contact details are updated to receive timely notifications, and to monitor updates through CEB’s official social media accounts.

𝗔𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗙𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗥𝘂𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗮 𝘁𝗼 𝗞𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗯𝗼 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗶𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 ✈️

Kalibo International Airport on Saturday received its inaugural flight from IrAero, marking the start of a new Russia–Philippines air link. The route connects Irkutsk (Siberia) to Kalibo (Aklan province) with a stopover in Guilin, China. Kalibo (KLO) is the main international gateway for Boracay, one of the Philippines’ most popular resort islands. This service is part of IrAero’s Northern winter 2025/26 schedule, with flights operating weekly on Saturdays beginning 25 October.

Flight Schedule:

Flight IO2187 (Saturday): Departs Irkutsk (IKT) 04:00 → arrives Guilin (KWL) 08:10; Guilin departs 09:10 → arrives Kalibo (KLO) 12:10.

Flight IO2188 (Saturday): Departs Kalibo (KLO) 14:00 → arrives Guilin (KWL) 17:00; Guilin departs 18:00 → arrives Irkutsk (IKT) 22:20.

According to IrAero’s published schedule, these flights run only on Saturdays. The one‑way journey takes roughly 8–8½ hours including the Guilin stop.

Aircraft and Service Frequency

IrAero will operate the Kalibo service using its Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ100) regional jet. The SSJ100 carries about 100 passengers, making it well‑suited for medium-haul international routes. Aviation data confirm the flight runs once per week (Saturdays) with a block time of roughly 8h20. In practice, the Irkutsk→Guilin segment is about 4h10, and Guilin→Kalibo about 3h00 (plus a ~1h ground stop), in line with the published schedule.

Tourism Significance

The new Irkutsk–Kalibo link is expected to boost travel between Russia and the Philippines. Boracay is a major draw for Russian beachgoers, especially in winter, and direct flights should “stimulate tourism flows” between the countries. Industry observers note that launching this route in the Northern Hemisphere’s winter season is strategic – many Russian tourists seek warm destinations like Boracay at that time. By providing a one‑stop connection to Kalibo, IrAero is tapping a niche market of Russian travelers and opening a convenient corridor to Boracay’s shores.
