No need to go to the gym when you have to move a 63ft catamaran from one side of the yard to the other, piece, by bloody piece.
In fact that is one of the attractions of James Wharram Designs, regardless of how big, they can be broken down and shipped using primitive methodology.
Sure I'll need a bit of extra man power to move the 56ft masts and the 28ft beams, and to move each hull.
But if this was a 63ft catamaran of one single solid construction then I'd have to call in some very specialized lifting & transport equipment, and have much deeper pockets.

Today's CAD:
Upgrade and preserve the building information on the 57ft Norfolk Trader "GLEANER" built in 1894. The base drawing is inaccurate, crooked and stretched over two pages, but there is enough information there to make it work.
The amount of work left to do on it though does make me wherry! 😁

One thing that takes a hammering on my boat (or any boat) are my tools, especially being in such close proximity to the sea.
I have bought my share of tool boxes for storage but they either rust or fall apart. The harsh sea and UV environment gets to them eventually.
So I decided to go old school:
船大工の道具箱
Traditional Japanese Shipwrights Toolbox
Made from off-cuts of ply & solid wood.
Large enough volume to accommodate all manner of handsaws and chisels, western and Japanese, yet small enough to fit through the hatches.
The shape is easily stow-able and acts as a good portable seat or work bench.
