🤸‍♀️ bakit Php34m lang ang budget sa active transport? 🤸‍♀️

Tara, i-zine natin 'yan! ✍

Join us for an afternoon picnic with Move As One Coalition as we discuss the national budget process and how we can collectively call for an equitable budget for the 94% of Filipino households who do not own cars. We invite you to make zines and write letters with us that we will directly address to our government leaders.

Move People, Not Cars! We are the 94%. 📣

With a transport crisis and rising fuel prices, ₱34M lang ang proposed budget for active transport in 2027. We need safe, inclusive mobility choices for everyone, especially those who don’t drive.

Kailangan nating mag-ingay.

With a transport crisis and rising fuel prices, the proposed 2027 budget for active transport is only ₱34M.

Safe bike lanes and sidewalks are essential to making our streets more inclusive and giving people more mobility choices, especially those who don’t drive.

Kailangan nating mag-ingay or else nganga na lang.

They reopened the intersection at Marcos Highway and Felix Ave. Vehicle movement is more direct now compared to the previous U-turn setup.

If you’re coming from Gil Fernando Ave., you still can’t go straight to Felix Ave. since it’s right-turn only. I still saw cyclists carrying their bikes across using the elevated walkway.

Matrapik pa rin, but this is a good opportunity to rethink the intersection. It should also be designed to work better for everyone, including pedestrians, cyclists, and PWDs.

Good bike lanes show what’s possible. But one good stretch isn’t enough. To get more people riding, we need a connected network that feels safe and works for people of all ages and abilities.

Always a pleasure riding through Marikina’s bike lanes. The more spaces like this we have, the more people will choose to cycle. 🚲
