900+ Marawi Families Get Livelihood Aid

BY: ROXETTE YAHYA

ILIGAN CITY— A total of 958 families in Marawi City have received ₱15,000 each as seed capital under the Bangsamoro Sagip Kabuhayan (BSK) Program of the Bangsamoro Government, aimed at helping conflict-affected residents rebuild their livelihoods.
The beneficiaries come from the city’s Most Affected Areas (MAA) and Other Affected Areas (OAA), communities that were heavily impacted by the 2017 Marawi Siege. The assistance is intended to support families in starting small businesses and becoming more self-reliant.
The program is being implemented by the Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) in coordination with the BARMM–Marawi Rehabilitation Program.
MSSD Minister Raissa H. Jajurie said the initiative forms part of the Bangsamoro Government’s continuing efforts to strengthen local livelihoods and promote economic resilience among residents.
Some beneficiaries also expressed their gratitude for the support. Sobair Macabinta, one of the recipients, said the assistance is a big help, especially for elderly individuals and those without stable sources of income.
The BSK Program is among the key livelihood initiatives of the Bangsamoro Government, contributing to the ongoing recovery and economic revitalization of Marawi communities.
