2nd Generation trains of LRT Line-1 (2G)

2nd Generation trains of LRT Line-1 (2G) 2nd generation trains of LRT. These are the 2nd generation LRV's of the LRTA that entered service in 1999. A four-car type heavy-rail train.

One of the best designs ;) Built by Adtranz, Germany (now Bombardier Transport) with Electronics from Hyundai Precision (now Hyundai Rotem) in 1998. It was manufactured in Adtranz, Germany (now known as Bombardier) with electronics from Hyundai Precision (which is now known as Hyundai Rotem). Each section is articulated into 2 parts. 8 doors per car, 4 cars per set and 7 sets in total. Numbering

is 1100 series. (1101-1128)

They all experienced technical difficulties with the airconditioning units in the past years so one set remained operational until September 2010.

3 sets are operational at this time. While others are still having repairs. Their airconditioning units are replaced with newly-acquired units from Hyundai rotem. Sets operational as of November 2010:

1101A-1101B-1102A-1102B-1103A-1103B-1104B-1104A (1101 wrapped in PCSO ads.)
1105A-1105B-1106A-1106B-1115A-1115B-1108B-1108A (1108 was previousply wrapped in PCSO ads like 1101.)
1109A-1109B-1110A-1109B-1111A-1111B-1112B-1112A (1109 wrapped with Globe ads)

1107A-1107B and 1115A-1115B are interchanged if one notices. All news and updates will be posted in here.
