Over the past few days, we have celebrated a life that was long-lived and filled with happiness—past, present, and future. Today, however, my heart is heavy as I extend my deepest condolences to my sister and dear friend, who has become family to me.

To my sister, the Honorable Dr. Jewel Howard-Taylor, the first woman Vice President of the Republic of Liberia, and to her husband, His Excellency Charles McArthur Ghankay Taylor Past President of Liberia .My heart breaks with yours as you mourn the loss of your only son. No words can ease such pain, but please know that my love, prayers, and warmest embraces are with you and your family during this unimaginable time.

Sisterhood is not only by blood, but by the bonds we build through shared journeys, values, and love. Our connection, forged through the MASHAV scholars’ experience in Israel, is one I will cherish forever. That bond made us family, no matter the distance between us.

I know the depth of your pain, and I am beyond saddened by this loss. May your beloved son rest in eternal peace, and may God surround you with strength, comfort, and grace.

Always remember that we stand together—as Wings of Hope, and Jewel foundation as Women Inspire—alongside our beloved friend Jacky Cacho. My spirit, love, and prayers remain with you and your family now and always.

With endless love and heartfelt condolences.💐 ❤️🙏

I wish I could be in every corner of the earth, spreading my wings to uplift, inspire, and motivate—using my power to create and improve lives, and to help people see their full potential.
This is the fuel that keeps me going.
I hope Wings of Hope will continue to fly across the world. Thank you all for the love and best wishes. One day, I’ll surely stop by—maybe even unannounced.
For now, I’m sending this energy electronically: hope, positivity, and love.❤️💕

Capt. Irene Mora – a Filipina pilot, activist and philanthropist who is heading the Wings of Hope Foundation.

Capt. Irene Mora is a Filipina pilot and the pioneering woman who broke the stereo type in the Philippines, she has set many other records, such as the first Filipina who went to Zero Gravity and passed the training. She is an outstanding Sky diver who jumped together with the paratroopers in Thailand representing Coast Guard Auxiliary Philippines in 2002, along with the hundred skydivers from around the world, and the only woman who jumped out in a C130 plane. She was awarded by the King of Thailand as one of the most outstanding Woman in the field of Skydiving. Defying conventional feminine behavior, a young Irene climbed trees, “belly slammed”. She also kept a slam book when she was 12-13 years old. Asking her what does she want to be when she grows up, young Irene wrote, “I want to be a pilot, travel around the world and fly my own airplane!”. Capt. Irene is one of the 100 influential Filipina across the globe, she was the first chosen woman to be sent to a world leader called “MASHAV” in Israel. After her, The President Rodrigo Duterte visited Israel. After all, she is the first Woman Pilot/Philanthropist. She made a history, uplifting many young children to make their dream come true.

“When the vision is clear, the results will appear. Keep your mindset positive as you work your plan, flourish, and always remember why you first started. Good leaders have the vision and inspire others to help them turn their visions into reality. Great leaders have vision, share vision, and inspire others to create their own.” - Capt. Irene Mora
