Have you heard about the saying,
Championships are not won on match day.
They are won in the countless hours of practice when nobody is watching.
The early mornings.
The extra repetitions.
The discipline to keep showing up even when you are tired.
The moments when no one is clapping, no one is posting about you and no one even knows the work and effort you are putting in.
Match day simply reveals what happened in private.
That's what happened with Alex Eala. She started her tennis matches not on the day of the match itself, but the day she started training and preparaing herself.
And narealize ko, our faith works the same way.
Your relationship with God is not built only on Sundays. It is not built only during church services, worship nights or Bible studies.
It is built in the quiet and private moments.
When you choose to pray even though no one reminds you.
When you open your Bible instead of endlessly scrolling.
When you worship even when life doesn't feel good.
When you obey God even if nobody will ever know you made the right choice.
When you forgive even when revenge seems easier.
When you choose kindness even when it is much easier to judge people.
When you trust Him, even when His answer is "wait."
And yes, those unseen moments are not wasted.
They are where God builds your character.
They are where your faith grows deeper.
They are where your spiritual muscles become stronger.
Then one day, life throws you into a battle.
A diagnosis.
A problem at work.
A broken relationship.
A financial struggle.
A losing business.
A disappointing result.
An unexpected storm.
And people will wonder,
"How are they still standing?"
What they don't realize is you have been training for this all along.
Just as athletes don't train because a championship is guaranteed. They train so that they will be ready when the opportunity comes.
Meanwhile, we don't follow and spend time with God because life is easy. We spend time with Him so that when life becomes difficult, our faith doesn't collapse. It will not crumble.
Private faith prepares you for public battles. And the strength people admire in public is usually built in private.
So don't underestimate today's simple act of opening your Bible.
Don't think your quiet prayers go unnoticed.
Don't believe your daily obedience is insignificant.
God sees every hidden moment. And what He builds in secret will sustain you when life tests you in public.
Keep showing up.
Keep praying.
Keep reading His Word.
Keep trusting.
Keep obeying.
Because the battles you win tomorrow are often decided by the time you spend with God today.
Yun lang. God bless you!
