Sulu, Philippines—After a period of suspension, commercial air travel to and from Sulu will officially resume. Ezzan Air's page has announced the reinstatement of flight services between Jolo, Zamboanga, and Cebu, starting on September 10, 2024. This move marks a significant step in improving connectivity for the residents and travelers in the Sulu archipelago, offering a vital link between these regions.
Ezzan Air will operate flights between Jolo and Zamboanga, as well as between Zamboanga and Cebu, utilizing the ATR 72-500 aircraft. The airline has set the ticket prices at ₱3,285 for the Jolo to Zamboanga route and ₱3,386 for the Zamboanga to Jolo route, ensuring that air travel remains an affordable option for passengers.
The flight schedule, which will run every Tuesday and Saturday, is as follows:
Zamboanga-Jolo: 8:20 AM - 9:15 AM
Jolo-Zamboanga: 10:15 AM - 11:00 AM
Cebu-Zamboanga: 6:00 AM - 7:20 AM
Zamboanga-Cebu: 12:00 NN - 1:30 PM
These flights are expected to significantly enhance mobility for both residents and visitors, facilitating easier travel across these key locations.
Passengers looking to book their tickets can visit Ezzan Air’s ticketing offices located at the REIC Ticketing Center, AML Building, Airport Road Canelar Moret in Zamboanga City, or at MSCI (fronting JMG) Walled City, Jolo, Sulu.
