Going on a flight this coming holy week? CAAP reiterates the battery capacity limits of portable electronic devices (PEDs), such as power banks, that can be carried in flights.

Only PEDs with 100Wh batteries are allowed without restrictions on board.

To calculate the watt-hour (Wh) capacity of your power bank: Wh = (mAh x Voltage)/1000.

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) is launching the CNSSO Batch 45 to recruit young and competent men and women who will join the country's elite line of Air Traffic Safety Electronic Personnel (ATSEP).

Applications will be accepted from April 7, 2025, until July 18, 2025, at 5:00 PM.

Meanwhile, the nationwide examination will be held on July 26, 2025 (Saturday) at the CAAP Central Office in Pasay City, and in designated Testing Centers in Clark, Puerto Princesa, Kalibo, Catarman, and Cotabato.

Applications with incomplete requirements will not be accepted.

Applicants must pass the nationwide examination on July 19, 2025 (Saturday), a follow-up interview and a medical examination will be conducted on a later date. The training is free of charge. However, allowances, accommodation and other miscellaneous expenses during the training period will be shouldered by the Trainee.

Upon successful completion of the training, applicants will be assigned to any AIS facilities.

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines is opening applications for the Comprehensive Air Traffic Service Course - Batch 19 (CATS 19) to recruit competent young men and women who will join the country’s elite line of Air Traffic Management Officers.

𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬:
1. Natural born citizen of the Philippines
2. Single
3. Not more than twenty-six (26) years old on June 28, 2025
4. Physically, mentally and psychologically fit and of good moral character
5. Has good command of English language
6. Has not been convicted of criminal or administrative case
7. Has not been dishonorably separated from Government or private service

Additional Qualifications:
1. Holder of bachelor’s degree in any course
2. Computer literate
3. Not color blind

Training is FREE. Allowances, accommodation and other miscellaneous expenses during the training period shall not be covered by this Authority.

Successful applicants who will complete the training will be assigned to any Air Traffic Service (ATS) facility nationwide.
