📍 Recinte Modernista de Sant Pau

Mediaeval Hospital, built in 1902 by Lluís Domènech i Montaner, one of the outstanding figures of Catalan Art Nouveau (Modernisme).
Inspired by most modern hospital in Europe, he designed a hospital organised as a series of separate pavilions, surrounded by gardens and interconnected by a network of underground tunnels.

King Alfonso XIII formally opened the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau in January 16th 1930.
Over the years, Sant Pau has become a prominent landmark within the cultural heritage of Barcelona and Catalonia. It was declared a Historic Artistic Monument in 1978, and was recognised as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1997.
Because of the structural wear and tear on the buildings and demand for hospital treatment, they constructed new modern hospital buildings. After it’s completion, In 2009 they transferred all healthcare activities to the new buildings.
The modernista complex took a major restoration and made it as an international center for knowledge and a cultural landmark.

Is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this concert hall is over 100 year old and is built between 1905-1908. Designed by Lluís Domènech i Montaner to represent the Catalan culture and social life.
