Sa isinagawang Senate Hearing kamakailan, binigyang-diin ni Sec. Giovanni Lopez ang patuloy na suporta ng pamahalaan sa mga transport service entity (TSE) ng PTMP sa pamamagitan ng 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗹𝘆 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘀𝘂𝗯𝘀𝗶𝗱𝘆.

Aniya, patuloy ang pamamahagi ng monthly financial subsidy para sa mga kasalukuyang miyembro at paglalaan ng equity subsidy para sa mga kukuha ng bagong modern PUV unit.

Transportation Secretary Giovanni Lopez has approved the recommendation of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) to implement public utility vehicle (PUV) fare adjustment that was suspended in March 2026, in response to the continued rise in fuel prices and its impact on the transportation sector.

The approved fare adjustments will take effect starting Monday, September 28.

Modern jeepneys will have a Php2 increase for its base fare, from Php15 to Php17, with an additional Php2.40 for every succeeding kilometer.

Umapela si Transportation Secretary Banoy Lopez sa Kongreso ng pondo para sa Fuel Subsidy sa taong 2027 upang patuloy na matulungan ang mga public utility vehicle (PUV) operators at drivers sa gitna ng mataas na presyo ng krudo.

Inatasan ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ang Department of Transportation (DOTr) na gumawa ng mga hakbang para maibsan ang matinding epekto ng mataas na presyo ng langis sa kita ng mga PUV drivers.
