READ : DFA CO CEBU TO SUSPEND OPERATIONS ON 07 MAY 2026 IN VIEW OF DECLARATION OF SPECIAL NON-WORKING DAY IN THE CITIES OF CEBU, MANDAUE AND LAPU-LAPU AND THE MUNICIPALITY OF CORDOVA

CEBU CITY, 06 May 2026 – The Department of Foreign Affairs - Office of Consular Affairs (DFA-OCA) informs the public that its Consular Office in Cebu, will be closed on Thursday, 07 May 2026, in view of declaration as a special non-working day in the City of Cebu, City of Mandaue, City of Lapu-Lapu, and the Municipality of Cordova, Province of Cebu, pursuant to Proclamation No. 1239 Series of 2026 issued by the Office of the President.

Affected passport applicants will be accommodated from Monday,11 May 2026 to Thursday, 14 May 2026.

Applicants who need emergency or urgent consular services may contact CO Cebu via email at:

PARAÑAQUE CITY, 23 April 2026 – To ensure an orderly and efficient flow of applicants and in observance of health and safety standards and the regulations of the ASEANA Business Park Estate Association, the Department of Foreign Affairs - Office of Consular Affairs (DFA-OCA) requests consular applicants at DFA-OCA Aseana to come at least 15 to 30 minutes prior to the time of their appointment .

READ : ADVISORY ON CURRENT DELAYS IN THE RELEASE OF NEW PASSPORTS

PARAÑAQUE CITY, 08 April 2026 - The Department of Foreign Affairs informs the public that due to logistical and supply chain issues caused by the Middle East crisis, passport applications filed beginning the last week of March 2026 may experience delays in release. In this regard, applicants are advised that the release of new passports may take 10 to 15 working days from the date of application until further notice.

The Department is closely working with the third-party service provider for the printing of the ePassports on resolving the current delays and ensuring that passport operations normalize as soon as possible.
