REOPENING OF CANYONEERING ACTIVITY AND KAWASAN FALLS

Following the improvement in weather conditions and completion of safety assessments, Canyoneering activities and access to Kawasan Falls will officially reopen at 9:00 AM today, July 20, 2025, after the successful clearing operations conducted in the area.

All accredited canyoneering guides are required to participate in the clearing operations prior to the reopening to ensure that the trail is safe and free from hazards.

We thank everyone for their patience and cooperation during the temporary closure. Let us all continue to prioritize safety and follow proper protocols.

Based on the latest assessment and recommendation of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), the temporary closure of all canyoneering activities and access to Kawasan Falls remains in effect.

This continued closure is due to the effects of the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) intensified by Tropical Depression “Crising”.
