24 out of 33 Cebu Pacific destinations have simplified travel for fully vaccinated individuals

No swab tests needed for entry

Cebu Pacific (PSE:CEB), the Philippinesโ€™ leading airline announces that 24 domestic destinations in its network no longer require negative RT-PCR test results for fully vaccinated passengers, further simplifying travel for everyJuan.

Destinations that accept vaccination cards for fully vaccinated travelers in lieu of RT PCR or Antigen tests include Bacolod, Bohol, Boracay, Camiguin, Cebu (Mandaue City and Cebu City), Cotabato, Dumaguete, General Santos, Iloilo, Kalibo, Legazpi, Ozamiz, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.

Other requirements include Vaccination certificates, Government-issued ID cards, travel permits from S-Pass, confirmed accommodations, and registration to specific contact tracing applications.

Some destinations require fully immunized travelers to simply present their certificate from VaxCertPH like Roxas, or just upload their vaccination status to S-Pass like Butuan and Cagayan de Oro.

Pagadian only requires a valid government-issued ID stating that address is within Pagadian City, regardless of vaccination status, while guests bound for Masbate are required to present the S-PaSS QR code, valid for fifteen (15) days from approval.
Lapu-Lapu City, Clark, Davao, Manila, and Tacloban do not require arriving guests to present any travel documents for entry.

โ€œWe are happy with the various LGUsโ€™ efforts in safely reopening their borders especially for fully vaccinated individuals. Not only does it simplify the process but also reduces the overall cost of travel.

We would encourage a further review and simplification of requirements and for other destinations to follow suit,โ€ said Xander Lao, Chief Commercial Officer at Cebu Pacific.

Travelers are strongly urged to always check with the LGU (Local Government Units) of their destination for the latest updates.

Part 3.

Batangas

Batangas has started accepting guests for recreational diving starting October 15, 2020. Dive sites in Anilao, Batangas have been allowed to operate again, subject to strict protocols and requirements for tourists, which include a negative COVID-19 test taken not over 48 hours before arrival, proof of reservation, a valid ID, and a medical certificate. Guests also need to bring their own masks, fins, snorkels, regulators, and other gear and use a defog solution for their mask.

Only dive establishments with DOT and PCSSD accreditation would be allowed to operate. Guests of all ages from GCQ and modified GCQ areas are welcome. Popular diving destinations that have reopened include Balayan Bay, Cathedral Rock, Beatrice Rock, Twin Rocks, and Mainit Muck.

Puerto Galera

Baguio City has been open to local residents and Region 1 tourists through the Ridge and Reef Baguio-Region 1 travel corridor, but they will start accepting guests from the entire Luzon starting October 22, 2020. According to guidelines, only 200 tourists per day are allowed in the city. All visitors need to undergo Department of Health-approved testing methods and register their trip online via the Visitors Information and Tourist Assistance (VISITA) platform prior to their trip, among other requirements.

Visitors are no longer required to book their itineraries through a DoT-accredited tour agency. However, they will still be required to book in a DoT-accredited accommodation establishment issued with a Certificate Authority to Operate.

TRAVEL DESTINATIONS OPEN TO MANILA RESIDENTS

Part 1.

โ€ข Tagaytay

Tagaytay City announced its reopening this September to visitors without travel passes from areas under Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ) or no quarantine status. Among the travel spots that welcome tourists include Sky Ranch, Picnic Grove, churches, markets, and hotels with the famous Taal Volcano view.

The city is supposedly open to tourists provided they follow minimum health standards, such as the wearing of face masks and following physical distancing protocols. However, senior citizens and those below 21 years old are prohibited from entering establishments.

According to official news reports, Metro Manila residents and others from GCQ areas still need a travel pass when visiting Tagaytay. However, there are conflicting reports on the matter, and some road borders may not have checkpoints.

โ€ข Laguna (Enchanted Kingdom)

Enchanted Kingdom reopened on October 17, 2020 and is set to be open every weekend thereafter but as per IATF Guidelines, only guests who are 21 โ€“ 59 years old will be allowed to enter. Senior citizens, guests below 21 years old and those with underlying conditions are not allowed.

The theme park has been inspected and granted the authority to operate by the City of Santa Rosa as endorsed by concerned government agencies. EK does not require a travel pass or swab tests for entry to the park. Visitors can purchase tickets through Walk-in (Makati Sales Office and EK Front Gates), online via the EK Online Store and EKโ€™s Online Travel Agent Partners.

โ€ข Boracay, Aklan

The island of Boracay opened its doors to domestic tourists from GCQ and MGCQ areas last October 1, 2020. Tourists need to pre-register and are required to present a negative result of their RT-PCR test 48 to 72 hours prior to traveling to the island. Parties and organized sports activities are still not allowed.
