PADYAK KONTRA PAX SILICA 🚴

I joined the last Padyak Kontra Pax Silica as we ride in solidarity with communities, Indigenous Peoples, and farmers affected by the proposed Economic Security Zone in Tarlac.

As a bike advocate, I’m making a conscious effort to reduce my use of AI tools and be more mindful about accepting AI-generated pubmats for community initiatives.

I know this won’t be easy, especially since these tools have become convenient and widely used. But I believe we can still find ways to support our communities through more thoughtful, responsible, and human-centered approaches.

There is nothing wrong with developing new technologies and pursuing progress for our country, but progress should never come at the expense of our environment and the rights of our people.

I stand with the call to put people’s welfare and environmental protection first. Agreements like PAX Silica must ensure that our natural resources, livelihoods, and future are not put at risk.

Together, let’s stand for a clean, healthy, and sustainable environment and national sovereignty.

"Sakay at Lakbay papuntang Balangay sa Pasay"
A bike tour ride to Museo del Galeon

I joined Sakay ph x The Trip Chainist x Happy Pedal Project for a ride to Museo del Geleon and I had fun riding from Estancia to Mall of Asia with a group of biker friends who are also bike advocates in Metro Manila.

I learned to appreciate our maritime culture even more through this museum visit! 🤯 The story behind the giant Galeón Espíritu Santo was woah, fascinating from the Filipino enslaved workers in Cavite who helped build these ships to their historic voyages between Manila and Acapulco. It’s amazing to see how this reflects our rich Filipino heritage, craftsmanship, and abundance of local materials.

I also loved how interactive the museum was! The 'Life of Pi' scene-galaxy experience made me feel like I could just sit back, relax, and fall asleep on the couch for a while 😂

Congratulations to my friends Wil of Sakay ph, Myta of Trip Chainist, and Coi and Stephen of Happy Pedal Project for organizing this event! 🥳 Looking forward to more activities like this. We got to chill, explore, and learn so much from the museums we visited. Our community needs more events like these!

It was also great seeing my fellow bike advocates, active biker friends especially Ms. Dazzle, Chinqui, Chang Jordan, Jeza Rodriguez, Chantal and Manila Bike Commuter as well as meeting new friends along the way. ❤️

And of course, I loved all the laughter and clapping during our ride to MOA. It felt like a little celebration on wheels! 🚴‍♀️🎉 Such a fun vibe!

BAGUIO DYNAMIC SUNDAY RIDE 🚴‍♀️

I joined today’s ride as a little surprise! 😂 I didn’t tell my friends I was coming, I just showed up and joined the fun. Haha!

The Dynamic Sunday Ride by Highland Urban Bikers Coalition x Baguio Mountain Bikers was led by sir Jones of BaguioBoy Channel this weekend.

What I love about this group is their consistency they’ve been riding every Sunday since the pandemic, unless there’s heavy rainfall. I also love how sir Jones involves everyone in planning. He asks the group where they want to ride and welcomes route suggestions.
Of course, I suggested Tinoc or Sagada… just kidding! 😂

We ended up riding from Burnham Park to Lion’s Head to Ongasan, then headed back to the Convention area. After the ride, we caught up at the Athletic Parking Lot over coffee, pancit, chikahan, and, of course, planning for the next epic ride! 😆

Salute to everyone behind this amazing biking initiative. Keep it going! 🙌

I’ll always be proud that I started biking in Baguio City, and I’m happy to support the community whenever I can 🥺

It was great seeing my biker friends again and meeting new riders. See you again soon and I’ll definitely join one of your epic rides! 🚴‍♀️
