Arrived at Coos Bay, OR, after 4 days and 3 nights at sea. Full moon over vampire country was quite the show. Whales in the strait were spectacular. Nights were cold, but quiet. 700 more to go....

Bye bye Victoria! Time to head South. Next stop: Coos Bay, OR. 380 nm to go. Grey skies and flat waters in the strait. It is a bit chilly (53 F), and not much sunshine in the forecast unfortunately.

Zorba is finally up and running again! Left Port Angeles for Victoria, BC, Canada. Not much wind in the straight when we left, some smooth sailing in the afternoon.

Getting ready for the next leg (Wahington state to California). Engines are not cooperating... we might be here a little longer than we were hoping for.

Safe at the dock after a long day of motoring into the Straight of Juan de Fuca, and 19 days at sea. Welcome back Yves and Nicola!

It's been a few crazy nights, but made good progress. Up to 37kts of wind downwind with 3 reefs in the main and 3.5 meters of swell. Broke the boat's top speed record at 21kts (scary!). Then last night lost the autopilot and most instruments. Turns out all just needed a good reboot after 2 weeks of hard work. Got it all back up. Some fog today. Should arrive late tomorrow (Tuesday) at Port Angeles, Washington.

First sign of life in a long time. About 600 nm to go. Temperature has dropped to the low 60's (13 celsius). Ski gear is out. It's wet and grey. 10' swell. Fair winds. All aboard in good spirits.

Zigzagging between squalls. Good wind, big sea.
