Travel News for Peru: Peru issued a new decree affecting travel experience for non-vaccinated visitors. Starting today, December 10th, non-vaccinated visitors over 18 years old must have a PCR-RT test taken 72 or less hours prior to boarding any domestic flight, bus or train, when traveling between provinces.
Also, non-vaccinated adults (age 18 and older) will not be allowed to enter restaurants, bars, shopping centers and any other closed spaces, as proof of full vaccination will be required to enter any closed public space.
Non-vaccinated visitors (12 years of age or older) are allowed to travel to Peru with a negative RT-PCR test result issued 72 or less hours prior to boarding an incoming flight to Peru. Children under 12 years of age must only be asymptomatic prior to boarding an incoming flight to Peru.
Fully vaccinated visitors are allowed to visit our country without restrictions or any tests during their trip. The only requirement is showing your vaccination certificate with 01 to 02 vaccine doses (depending on the vaccine), with the second dose having been administered 14 or more days prior to visiting Peru.
A sworn health affidavit form has to be completed online by all travelers 72 or less hours prior to boarding their flight to Peru, and can be accessed here.
Non-resident foreigners from South Africa and incoming travelers who have transited through South Africa in the last 14 days are not allowed to enter Peru until December 31.
