HOW I’D SPEND A DAY IN LIMA 🇵🇪
A little guide to one of my favorite ways to enjoy Lima — food, art, ocean views, and the city’s vibrant soul.
1. A slow coffee to start the day ☕
Start your morning in Miraflores with a relaxed coffee — no rush, just good vibes. Favorite spots nearby: Mó.Café Balboa, Sol Coffee, Cafecito Here, Savannah Café, or CoffeBrix. Sip slowly and get ready for the day ahead.
2. Walk or bike the Miraflores cliffs 🚶♂️🚲
Head out along the clifftop promenade. Stop at Parque del Amor, then continue along the Costa Verde for some of the best ocean views in Lima.
Tip: Rent one of the public bikes along the Malecón and ride the entire route — it’s even better on two wheels.
3. Step into Lima’s ancient history (optional) 🏺
If you’d like, visit Huaca Pucllana, an archaeological site with a small museum showcasing this incredible pre-Incan pyramid right in the middle of the city.
4. Lunch: time to enjoy the flavors 🍴
Near the Costa Verde, choose your lunch depending on your mood: La Mar, Costanera 700, or Astrid y Gastón. Take this moment to relax and enjoy the amazing flavors of Peruvian cuisine.
5. Continue slowly toward Lima’s artistic soul 🎨
Make your way to Barranco, the city’s most creative neighborhood. Explore its art, culture, and colorful streets:
– MAC Lima
– Dédalo Arte y Artesanía
– Museo Pedro de Osma
– Jade Rivera World
At the end of this tour, you’ll arrive at Barranco’s main square and the famous Puente de los Suspiros. Take your time here… it’s the perfect place to pause and enjoy the sunset.
6. The cherry on top of the day: dinner 🍷
End your day with one of Lima’s incredible dinner spots, depending on your mood:
– Kjolle
– Mérito
– Isolina
– Traga Luz
Each one offers a different expression of Lima’s vibrant culinary scene.
