OCEAN POSSE ADVISORY

If you are planning haul-outs, engine work, welding, fiberglass repairs, refrigeration installs, or “quick jobs” during the FIFA World Cup in June…

…please understand that in the following countries, your mechanic, electrician, welder, marina manager, customs officer, travel lift operator, fuel dock attendant, and possibly even the harbor master may suddenly become “temporarily unavailable due to important national priorities.” 🍺📺⚽

Australia
Brazil
Cape Verde
Colombia
Curaçao
Ecuador
France
Mexico
Morocco
New Zealand
Panama
Portugal
Spain
Tunisia
Turkey
United States

Plan accordingly, stock up on rum, beer, wine and game accouterments & spare parts early, and never underestimate the power of football to shut down an entire waterfront.

The sea never stops. Neither does football. ⚓⚽

we asked yacht owners a simple question: how safe does it feel out there right now?

We’ve just wrapped the Ocean Posse Safety & Security Survey.

yacht owners and vessel operators. Boats between 32 and 80 feet. Active, underway, making real decisions every day.

A few things stood out to me:

The concern is no longer just weather - it’s the quality of information

Owners are quietly adjusting routes based on what they hear and trust

Some areas are being avoided altogether

Firsthand reports from other vessels carry more weight than anything else

This one matters.

We’ve always said the Ocean Posse is not a convoy. It’s a network. This survey confirms it - decisions are being shaped by real conversations between boats.

If you run a marina, a service yard, or represent a destination - this is worth your attention.
Confidence drives movement. Information builds confidence.

For fellow owners and operators: stay close to what is real, current, and verified.

Add in new marina partners from Spain to the Dominican Republic, fresh intel from the Caribbean, and a look ahead at the 2026 event calendar, and you’ve got a snapshot of the routes ahead.
