🏔️✨These mountains in Switzerland make you forget everything. And sometimes that’s exactly what you need.

Some questions for thought:
Who are you without your job title, partner, friends, money, and your hobbies?

What frustrates you?

What makes you happy?
Now do more of that. 🙏🏽

The mountains didn’t just give me views. They gave me peace and clarity. I hope these photos give you a little of that too.

Is Budapest racist?

Here’s what happened. At a karaoke bar, I went up to the DJ to put my name in and he told me he was fully booked and wouldn’t take my name. Fine. I stood there for a few minutes looking at Google Maps, trying to decide what to do next.

Not even five minutes later, another woman walked up to that same DJ — and he took her name and song. No hesitation.

I immediately clocked that I was the only Asian person in that bar… (this happens to me a lot anyway, so I’m used to it) possibly the only tourist too. I left.

Here’s what’s interesting though — Budapest has a surprising number of Asian restaurants. Does it correlate to how they treat their Asian residents? Not necessarily…

So was it because I was Asian or I was a tourist? Maybe both. My results were inconclusive since that was the only time something like that happened to me in Budapest🤷🏽‍♀️ every #

This was the night out I didn’t plan… though I would say it was one of the best nights of my Eurotrip. 🇭🇺

Over the course of four hours, the restaurant kept the Palinka (the National drink of Hungary) coming — on the house 🥃 Two of the servers and I even did a group shot together. The third server didn’t drink so she sat that one out 😂

Typically this is NOT something I’d do solo. But Budapest had me feeling safe. Luckily my airbnb was a 5 minute walk away!

Köszönöm, Budapest! 🇭🇺

My days here were the most relaxing leg of my euro summer. This city is super scenic! (Go see my previous post to see what I mean.) Here’s to more trips that fill my soul AND my camera roll. 📸

Is Budapest on your bucket list?

This night river cruise on the Danube was one of the most beautiful experiences of my entire trip.

You know the Seine river cruise in Paris? Same vibe. But cheaper, way less crowded, and honestly? The city lights up MORE. Budapest just glows at night in a way that rivals Paris (if not better…) The views had me speechless.

I mentioned this to my Bolt driver who agreed with me and also said “those are dangerous words and claims.” 😂 Budapest is so underrated and I will die on that hill. 🇭🇺

This experience was $15.96. With a glass of champagne included. 🥂
