LOG TRUCK DISPATCHER
Our family owned and operated company is looking for an experienced Log Truck Dispatcher Based in our Waverley, South Taranaki office.
We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of computer based programs and technology. We need someone who is curious and who embraces the challenge of making the best decisions to ensure the most efficient and profitable use of each truck daily. You will be dispatching the Taranaki, Whanganui, Manawatu, Masterton area, previous experience in the Transporting sector and strong geographical knowledge would be an advantage.
This is a full-time position including rostered weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
• · Planning and allocation of daily jobs for drivers
•
• · Monitor truck activity and adjust runs as necessary for efficient movement of trucks
•
• · Communication with logging crews to gather stocks
•
• · Maintaining communication with drivers
•
• · Ensuring drivers have the information required to complete their jobs efficiently
•
Requirements:
• · Previous experience in transport industry
•
• · Strong communication skills
•
• · Strong organizational skills
•
• · Comfortable with technology
•
• · Ability to work accurately under pressure
•
• · A clean full drivers license
•
• · Must be able to pass a drug test
•
