Yesterday, Air Whanganui was honoured to host the Hon. Simeon Brown MP, Minister of Health, at our Whanganui base. ๐
Minister Brown visited to meet our dedicated air ambulance team and gain firsthand insight into the essential role we play in connecting patients with timely and specialised medical care across New Zealand. The visit was also attended by Carl Bates MP for Whanganui, a strong advocate for our region and our vital services. ๐
During the visit, Minister Brown and Carl Bates MP, met with our CEO Dean Martin and Katherine Fraser-Chapple from Whanganui Hospital, Group Director of Operations, and Rex McKinnon from the Whanganui Air Ambulance Trust. Together, they talked at great length about the close collaboration between Air Whanganui, the Whanganui Hospital, and the Trust, and how this partnership has significantly improved patient transfer efficiency and strengthened continuity of care for patients requiring urgent or specialist transport. ๐ ๐ค
Air Whanganuiโs patient transfer service continues to be recognised as one of the best in the country.
