Yesterday, Air Whanganui was honoured to host the Hon. Simeon Brown MP, Minister of Health, at our Whanganui base. ๐Ÿ™Œ

Minister Brown visited to meet our dedicated air ambulance team and gain firsthand insight into the essential role we play in connecting patients with timely and specialised medical care across New Zealand. The visit was also attended by Carl Bates MP for Whanganui, a strong advocate for our region and our vital services. ๐Ÿ’™

During the visit, Minister Brown and Carl Bates MP, met with our CEO Dean Martin and Katherine Fraser-Chapple from Whanganui Hospital, Group Director of Operations, and Rex McKinnon from the Whanganui Air Ambulance Trust. Together, they talked at great length about the close collaboration between Air Whanganui, the Whanganui Hospital, and the Trust, and how this partnership has significantly improved patient transfer efficiency and strengthened continuity of care for patients requiring urgent or specialist transport. ๐Ÿš‘ ๐Ÿค

Air Whanganuiโ€™s patient transfer service continues to be recognised as one of the best in the country. Thanks to our dedicated staff, innovative systems, and modern fleet of vehicles and aircraft, including our latest aircraft acquisition from Australia. โœˆ๏ธ This capability enables us to provide fast, safe, and efficient air ambulance transport not only for Whanganui but throughout New Zealand.

We are incredibly proud of our team and the strong relationships weโ€™ve built with local and national health leaders to keep communities connected to the care they need. โค๏ธ

๐ŸŽ‰ Air Whanganui Welcomes New Aircraft! ๐Ÿ›ฉ๏ธ

Air Whanganui has marked a proud milestone this week with the official welcome of its newest fleet member, a Cessna Citation jet, representing an exciting new chapter in the companyโ€™s long and distinguished history. ๐Ÿ™Œ

The aircraft was officially unveiled on Tuesday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Associate Transport Minister James Meager MP, Carl Bates MP for Whanganui, and Andrew Tripe - Mayor of Whanganui. The event coincided with the airportโ€™s taxiway opening, making it a day of celebration for both Air Whanganui and the wider community.

Purchased earlier this year, the aircraft recently completed a full maintenance and certification process in Hamilton, with Air Whanganui pilots undergoing extensive training ahead of its arrival. The jet will be primarily used for operations around New Zealand, expanding the companyโ€™s ability to deliver fast, efficient, and comfortable travel across New Zealand and beyond.

๐Ÿ’™ For over 40 years, Air Whanganui has been a cornerstone of the regionโ€™s aviation sector, known for its professionalism, reliability, and service to the community. From its beginnings as an air ambulance provider to its continued growth into charter and aeromedical services, Air Whanganui remains committed to innovation and excellence in the skies.

The addition of the Cessna Citation marks not just the growth of the fleet, but the ongoing evolution of a proud Whanganui company, one deeply connected to its community and ready to soar into the future. ๐Ÿš€

โœˆ๏ธ๐Ÿš‘ Over the weekend, we had the pleasure of welcoming No.9 City of Whanganui Squadron, Air Training Corps and the Whanganui Navy Cadets to Air Whanganui for an exciting and hands-on experience.

๐Ÿ’ซ From exploring our fleet of air ambulance aircraft to learning about the critical care equipment we use on every mission, cadets got an up-close look at the work we do to serve the Whanganui region and beyond. Our team shared insights into flight operations, patient care, and the importance of teamwork in high-pressure environments.

It was a great opportunity to inspire the next generation and give them a glimpse into the dynamic world of aeromedical operations. We were proud to showcase the vital role Air Whanganui plays in delivering Care in the Air - day and night. โ˜€๏ธ๐ŸŒ™

๐Ÿ™Œ Thanks to all involved in making this visit a success. We love opening our doors to future professionals who might one day join us in the skies.

๐ŸŒ…โœˆ๏ธ Ready to roll - another mission underway.

One of Air Whanganuiโ€™s aeromedical aircraft, captured moments before departing Napier. The journey continues as we deliver care in the air.

๐Ÿ“ธ This stunning shot from Robbie Love is a quiet reminder of the work we do: behind the scenes, around the clock, getting people the care they need when it matters most. โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿฉน
