🚨 WE’RE HIRING – LEVIN YARD | McCARTHY TRANSPORT 🚨

Due to recent storm damage and a big lift in workload, we’re looking for a few extra hands to join the team at our Levin yard on a fixed-term contract.

If you’re reliable, keen to work, and want to be part of a team getting stuck in – we want to hear from you 💪

The role involves:
✔️ Ticketing log loads
✔️ Scaling logs

What we’re looking for:
👉 Good attitude and strong work ethic
👉 Reliable and ready to go
👉 Attention to detail

Hours:
🕐 Monday to Friday
➕ Potential for the odd Saturday as required

This is a great opportunity to earn good money and be part of the clean-up effort.

On Monday we officially handed the keys of our new Kenworth W900 SAR Legend over to one of our long serving drivers. Darren Warren (Snake) has been a valued part of our team for 34 years, 10 of those based in Ohakune and the rest based in Taranaki. Snake has clocked up around 4.5 million kms behind the wheel of several trucks and always keeps them well looked after inside and out. it was a privilege to be able to reward Snake for his contributions to McCarthy Transport with something like this.

The story behind this truck, Mark McCarthy purchased one of his first Kenworth trucks, a W900 SAR in 1986. This new truck is a replica of the one purchased in 1986, we even managed to get the same number plate.

A big thanks to all involved in this project, Southpac, Haddock Spray Painters, our own engineering and workshop team, and Fuelled photography for the shots.

Our new SAR legend recently completed in livery which is based off of Marks SAR he had back in the 80s, has been a 3 year wait for this one but well worth it
