Professional Class 5 Powder Truck Driver – Wanganui

Location: Wanganui
Start Date: Immediate

Sharp As Linehaul is seeking a dependable, professional truck driver to join our team. If you’re confident behind the wheel and prefer the comfort of sleeping in your own bed after each shift, this could be the ideal role for you. It’s a great fit for someone who values consistent local routes, a predictable schedule, and the stability of being home daily.

What We Offer:
• Day shift roster – 4 days on, 4 days off
• Shuttle runs only – no long-haul or overnight trips

About the Role:
This is a hands-on, physically demanding role involving the transport of finished powder products and the return of goods. Based in Wanganui, the position requires a self-motivated individual who can work independently, manage their workload efficiently, and ensure goods are handled professionally to maintain product quality.

What We’re Looking For:
• Class 5 truck licence (powder truck experience is an advantage)
• Forklift licence – OSH & F endorsement preferred (training available for the right person)
• Reliable, punctual, and a strong work ethic
• Physically fit with a proactive mindset
• Able to perform under pressure and meet time-sensitive delivery schedules
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers
• Follow company policies, procedures, and NZTA regulations
• Uphold Health & Safety standards
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test, with ongoing and random testing as required

Our company has a strong track record of providing comfortable, reliable, high-quality equipment with proven performance from torque to tonnage for any task. At Sharp As Linehaul, we are a team that is “Driven to Deliver” outstanding service while prioritising safety for our drivers, team, and customers.

Roster Options:

• 3 days, 3 nights, 3 days off
• 2 days, 2 nights, 4 days off

Great for maintaining a strong work life balance.

Season:

• Dairy Season runs August to May

What we are looking for:

• Full Class 5 Driver Licence
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Team focused mindset
• High standard of cleanliness and presentation
• Good time management and ability to follow instructions
• Honest and reliable
• Ability to build strong relationships with local farmers
