I am extremely proud and excited to announce that as of 1 February 2026, I have taken over the fleet and customer base of Balgownie Cranes Ltd and will now be operating under my own company, Matthews Hoist & Haulage Ltd.

Nothing really changes — except the name and Director 😉

You’ll still have my smiling, hard-case self out there doing the hard yards.

I’ll still be on the other end of the phone.

And I’ll still be providing the same awesome service and skills I’ve delivered over the past 10 years under Balgownie Cranes Ltd — except now, this is me, under my own steam, taking a massive leap!

I truly look forward to your continued support. Without my people behind me, none of this would be possible — and I’m incredibly grateful to every single one of you.

It’s been a long and tough road to get here — those who know, know 😉

After many sleepless nights, many tears, and a huge amount of self-doubt — I owe a massive, heartfelt thanks to my awesome support network — I’m finally here.

And now… I’m ready to take the bull by the horns 🐂💪

GOME aka Grumpy Old Men Enterprises are on part of our property, providing charitable services to our Community…they give their own retired time to raise funds and support our KIDS!!
Then they get stolen from and dumped on…REALLY??
How disrespectful!!
From now on, there is a chained gateway, with a sign…AND YES THERE ARE CAMERAS!!

We left the yard at 7.30am this morning, headed to the prison to load, loaded 2 BG water tanks and a septic, ventured out the back of Waipukurau…and for a world record change…we had 3 tanks installed, truck and trailer packed up, drove back…and landed at our yard at 4.30pm! Momentous 🤣 IYKYK
