🚶‍♀️🚶‍♀️ 10km, a massage & VIP treatment… not a bad Saturday! 😂🥂
Well… that was an adventure! 😂
Friday night was spent having fun with Debra and Ella, then the alarm went off at 5.30am this morning — because apparently getting up at that hour on a Saturday is something we now do for FUN! 🤦‍♀️😂
We had to get to the Mount, registered and ready for the 8am start… only to discover parking was VERY popular! So we casually added another 2km walk before we even started the 10km! 🤣
Thankfully, the weather gods were kind to us and we managed to dodge the heavy showers while we were walking. 🙌☔
Then there was Debra’s little problem… BLISTERS! 🩹👣 By the end, I was starting to worry if I was going to have to piggyback her for the last 5km! 😂 But she made it — so proud of her!
And what better reward after 12km of walking than the VIP marquee! 🥂✨ Nibbles, a drink and, best of all, a glorious 15-minute massage. Now THAT'S my kind of finish line! 💆‍♀️😂
A huge thank you to Globus & Avalon Waterways for inviting us to join in. We had a good time — although Debra’s feet may have a different opinion! 🤣
Great company, lots of laughs and a reminder that travel friends make the BEST adventure buddies. ❤️🌏
