🚛🌱 Living Our Why at Lake Rerewhakaaitu School

Last week, Danny took the Kenworth for a special delivery run — dropping off a load of Waionehu Compost and our own SST Cow Char to Lake Rerewhakaaitu School to help bring their food forest to life.

It wasn’t just a delivery. It was a chance to get hands-on, kōrero with the tamariki, and literally lay the groundwork for something that will feed and teach generations.

At Schutt & Sons, our purpose is positive change for our people — and sometimes that looks like putting compost where it counts.

Massive thanks to the team at the school for the mahi you're doing to grow resilience from the roots up. We’re proud to back it 🙌

After years of watching her out on the road, Dick Schutt has officially stepped out of retirement to get behind the wheel of the Kenworth bulk unit he’s admired for over two decades. And we couldn’t be prouder to have him join the Schutt & Son’s Transport crew.

This isn’t a brand-new rig — and that’s the beauty of it. She’s a tough old girl with plenty of life left in her, built strong and made for work. Just like Dick.

Together, they’re rolling out across the Bay of Plenty and the central North Island, offering reliable, local bulk cartage backed by family values and years of experience.

With our bulk unit now on the job, we’re offering:

Weather bomb isn't a great start to the calving season. Remember to stop for a cuppa and something nutritious and warm to eat today. Fuel your own bodies today too. Slow cooker at the cowshed can be a great edition (as long as someone makes a point of cleaning it haha).

SST sends you all best wishes for a warm, dry calving season. BUT if your in a pickle, need something urgent or just need a chat Danny's always happy to oblige.
