Working Together to Support First Responders

Last night, we had the privilege of supporting the volunteers at Te Pohue Rural Fire Brigade with a hands-on familiarisation session using one of our trucks.

As Te Pohue crews are often among the first on scene at motor vehicle crashes along the Napier–Taupō Road, it’s essential they’re confident with the equipment and layout of the vehicles they may encounter.

The session gave volunteers the opportunity to get up close with the truck, explore the tools on board, and identify key features such as isolation switches, which is all crucial knowledge in an emergency.

By building this shared understanding, we’re helping ensure a safer, more coordinated response when it matters most.

A big thank you to the Te Pohue team for your time, dedication, and the vital role you play in keeping our communities safe. Along with our dedicated Napier team member Tony Alexander for his time.

Morris McFall 07/01/1935 - 08/06/2026

Morris McFall wasn't just the founder of McFall Fuel, he was the heart of the business and the values that continue to guide us today.

From humble beginnings in Te Awamutu in 1951, Morris built a company founded on hard work, integrity, service and genuine care for people. Those principles remain at the centre of everything we do and have helped shape McFall Fuel into the business it is today.

Beyond business, Morris was a proud family man, a passionate supporter of his community, and someone who believed deeply in helping others. His generosity, wisdom and leadership touched countless lives.

For many of us, Morris wasn't simply the founder of our company. He was a mentor, an inspiration and a reminder that success is built through relationships, trust and doing the right thing.

Thank you, Morris, for the legacy you've left behind and for the opportunities you've created for so many people.

Our thoughts are with the McFall family during this difficult time.

Rest easy, Morris. Your legacy lives on.
