We've been supporters of Tauranga Arts Festival since the beginning. This year, we're excited to be bringing the circus to town!

We’re so grateful to Port of Tauranga Ltd for getting behind Tauranga Arts Festival 2026 💛

As an organisation with deep roots in our region, Port of Tauranga’s support helps us bring world-class arts experiences to our own backyard, and we’re incredibly appreciative to have them alongside us for TAF 2026.

Their support is helping us welcome the internationally acclaimed Machine de Cirque all the way from Canada to Tauranga.

And this one is going to be spectacular! ✨ With more than 2,000 performances across 20 countries and 1.2 million spectators under their belts, Machine de Cirque combines jaw-dropping acrobatics, physical comedy and extraordinary circus skills in a show that has wowed audiences around the world.

2027: T50 Tauranga (Nov. 20-21, 2027)

We've been raising money for Waipuna Hospice for years, through our biannual port tours and other events. Now we are taking our relationship to the next level. Port of Tauranga has become an official sponsor of a Waipuna Hospice truck, which collects donated items from around the region to be sold in the hospice shops. Ross McLeod, Waipuna Hospice's Philanthropy Director, sent us the following message:

"I just wanted to say another huge thank you to everyone at the Port of Tauranga for your generous sponsorship and support of one of our retail depot collection trucks. We're incredibly grateful to have you alongside us.

"This truck is out every day collecting quality donated goods from across our community, which will then be sold through our hospice shops to help fund specialist palliative care for local patients and their families. It's a wonderful example of how the Port’s support will make a real difference, helping turn donated items into compassionate hospice care.

"We really value Port of Tauranga's partnership and look forward to seeing the truck out on the road, helping raise vital funds for hospice care for many years to come."

The circus is coming to town! We're bringing Machine de Cirque to this year's Tauranga Arts Festival.

Somersaulting in from Québec, Canada 🇨🇦 for the premiere of their Aotearoa, New Zealand season 🤸✨are these six internationally acclaimed contemporary circus performers - Machine de Cirque ⚙️

This family-friendly show follows the performers as they find themselves alone in an uncertain world, trying to contact other survivors with the help of a strange machine.

Reckless, touching and comical, blending ingenious, deeply human storytelling with acts that dazzle the mind, touch the heart and move the spirit.

The newest vessel from our long‑term partner Fresh Carriers Co., Ltd, the Ponga, arrived at the Port of Tauranga Ltd late last week to load its first cargo of Zespri Kiwifruit.

Built as part of FCC’s renewed fleet, the Ponga will play an important role in delivering New Zealand‑grown kiwifruit to customers around the world.

The Ponga is now sailing to China with more than 1.5 million trays of Zespri SunGold and a
further 27,500 trays of RubyRed Kiwifruit onboard 🛳️🥝
