Casual Stevedores Wanted
Port of Tauranga

We are looking for casual workers to assist with the loading and unloading of vessels.

This role involves working as part of a team either on the wharf or on the vessel. The stevedore will be required to follow instructions about how to work in and around cargoes. Have the willingness to work shifts and being available for busy work schedules is essential. You need to be able and willing to comply with H&S safety requirements and comply with our drug and alcohol policy.

No prior experience in stevedoring or port operations is necessary, but would be well regarded as would experience with mobile plant and lifting equipment. However a good work record, a commitment to safe working practices, a willing attitude and being keen to learn are important.

We require the successful person to have a current full driver's license, be literate, have a good level of physical fitness and be able to work at heights. Here is an opportunity to enter into the shipping and port industry.

To be considered for this opportunity you will need to pass a pre-employment drug & alcohol testing.
