Heli-Hire Ltd : Tihoi Base Heli-Hire (Tihoi Base) operates a Robinson R44 Raven 2 helicopter based at Tihoi on the Western Side of Lake Taupo. All AG services and hunters covered.

Western Bay Helicopters is a small operation based on the western shore of Lake Taupo. Operating an R44 Raven 2 Helicopter, we cater for a number of cliental. As a developing business we offer a friendly, professional and down to earth service. Chris and Cyn welcome all new and prospective clients to contact us and find out what is on offer. Western Bay Helicopters has been established since 2011

and provides clients with a professional level of service to reflect the values of both quality and service. We are a small company and use the R44 Helicopter because of its excellent manoeuvrability and lower operating costs. The R44 is equipped with the latest Tracmap digital GPS for precise spray and seed placement. It is also fitted with the Helispecs spray system giving an ideal solution to accurate and cost effective placement of chemical. For those requiring seed (grass, kale, swede etc.), we also have a Heli Hawk fertiliser bucket. For those hunters looking for a new location - The Puroera Forest Park has numerous options with generally an easy contour and beautiful podacarp forest, both Red Deer and Pigs are found throughout. We have access to a number of small clearings and huts, and being based right on the edge of the park allows easy access to your hunting area. A chiller back at the base is able to be utilised and we are more than happy to pick up an animal part way through your trip, if passing, to hang until you come out.
