Over the weekend, we had the honour of transporting some of the most important passengers we’ll ever come across — kids! There’s something special about watching a group of young people head off on an adventure together: the quiet excitement, the loud laughter, backpacks bigger than they are, and that spark of curiosity only kids can bring ✨

For us at Tairua Bus Company, that’s the kind of energy that reminds us why we show up every day. These young legends hopped on board ready for new experiences, friendships, challenges, and memories — and we got to be part of the first chapter of their journey. It’s a privilege we don’t take lightly. Our drivers were buzzing, the atmosphere was electric, and seeing their faces pressed to the windows as we pulled out… yeah, it hits different 💛

An Epic Labour Weekend on the Coromandel! 🚤 🌴☀️

What a weekend! The Coromandel was buzzing with excitement as travellers jumped aboard the Auckland ⇄ Coromandel Peninsula ferry with Explore Group New Zealand, officially launched on Friday 24th October 🎉

From the moment the ferry set sail, passengers soaked up those breathtaking Hauraki Gulf views — sunshine, sea breeze, and all the magic that makes this region so special. They arrived ready to explore everything the Coromandel has to offer… golden beaches 🏖️ native forests 🌿 hidden gems, and that unbeatable coastal charm 💛

When rough weather rolled in on Monday, Tairua Bus Company were given the opportunity to step in and support travellers, ensuring everyone made it safely back to Auckland. It was a privilege to help keep the journey going and to play a small part in what was an exciting weekend for the Coromandel 💫
