The 2000s - A new millennium, a new chapter.
The millennium had arrived, mobile phones were getting smaller, CD players were finding their way into truck cabs and truck drivers were still doing what they did best - putting in the kilometres!
The decade got off to a flying start:
2000 - We purchased Nelson Car Haulage, adding another operation to the growing PTS family.
2001 - A&R Vehicle Deliveries was next to join, adding more vehicles and more work to the mix.
2003 - We headed down the road and purchased Transcarr Wellington Ltd, continuing to build the business and expand our reach.
2004 - We purchased our very first brand new Kenworth K104! This was a highlight for many, and a truck we still have today.
2006 - NZVD Ltd joined the PTS family, adding another piece to the ever-growing puzzle.
The business was growing, the kilometres were adding up and then 2012 brought another milestone. Palmerston Transport Service became PTS Logistics. The name changed, but the core business remained the same - moving vehicles and machinery, looking after customers and keeping the wheels turning.
2013 - We purchased Jeffs Vehicle Deliveries.
2014 - Auto Movements Ltd, NZVD Ltd and Jeffs Vehicle Deliveries were amalgamated, bringing everything together under the one operation - Auto Logistics Ltd.
2015 arrived and Scott and Vicki Miers bought the company outright. What followed was a new era for PTS - bigger ideas, new challenges and a huge amount of growth. Scott brought the ambition; Vicki brought the brains and PTS kept moving forward at a rapid pace.
Looking back, it's easy to see the number of businesses we brought and the milestones we achieved. But behind every acquisition, every new customer and every extra truck on the road were the people behind our brand, all putting in the work to keep the operation moving.
