WE’RE HIRING: COURIER DRIVER (CONTRACTOR)

At TCL Urgent Couriers, we are looking for a positive, customer service focused & motivated driver. As a contracted courier for TCL, you'll play an important role in providing outstanding customer service while delivering Urgent Point to Point freight, Monday to Friday.

This contractor role is a great entry point as it’s a low-cost way to kick off your own small business – and yes, that means self-employed tax perks too!

We can offer a great working environment, with a team that likes to have a laugh and an uncapped earning potential!!

What you’ll be doing (aka your daily mission):

- Delivering parcels on time and with a great attitude

- Double-checking packages before you head off

- Being the friendly face customers look forward to seeing

- Planning smart routes to save time (and fuel)

- Communicating with dispatch if anything crops up

- Keeping your car clean, tidy, and ready to roll

- Driving safely and following the rules

What we’re looking for:

- You’ve got (or can get) a black or white station wagon or hatchback (Hybrid’s are preferable)

- Full, clean driver’s licence

- Fit and willing to move with urgency

- Able to lift up to 30kgs

- Good communicator with solid people skills

- Tidy, organised, and reliable

- Comfortable working independently

- Local knowledge of the city

Are you a friendly and reliable individual who enjoys being on the road? We are looking for a Courier Driver to join our team. As a Courier Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering packages to customers, ensuring exceptional service every step of the way.
If you have excellent driving skills, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic, we encourage you to apply.

RESPONSIBILITIES
*Deliver packages to customers in a timely manner
*Verify packages for accuracy and completeness before delivery
*Provide exceptional customer service by delivering packages with a positive and friendly attitude
*Plan and follow the most efficient route, while considering time constraints and traffic conditions
*Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members regarding delivery updates and any issues encountered
*Maintain delivery vehicle in a clean and organised manner
*Follow company safety protocols and traffic laws at all times to ensure a safe delivery process

REQUIREMENTS
*Own a White Hybrid Station Wagon or Hatchback or the ability to obtain one.
*Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
*Ability to lift heavy packages, up to 30kgs, on a regular basis
*Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
*Exceptional organisational skills
*Excellent communication and customer service skills
*Ability to work independently and reliably follow instructions
*Knowledge of local area, businesses and navigation skills

It is with deep sadness we announce the dearly loved wife of Ian Cherished Mum of Jodez and DJ, Jackie and the late Jono; Shannyn and Ross. Treasured Nana to her 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Dearest sister of Miles, and inseparable from her special step-sister Trisha passed away peacefully at home on Sunday 7 January 2024. Messages for Bronnie’s family can be left via robertjcotton.co.nz/funerals-tributes. A celebration of Bronnie’s life will be held in the Cotton’s Chapel, 697 Main Street, Palmerston North, on Saturday 13 January 2024, at 10.00am, followed by private cremation.

The team at Tournemain Couriers are excited to let you know that after 14 years we are rebranding!

Over the next few months our Vehicle signwriting, Uniforms and all stationary will be changed to reflect our fresh new look. With our ever-growing customer base, we have decided now is a great time to streamline processes and find new ways to improve our services and with that we will also be introducing a new website, one which you can book your deliveries with ease.

We will be starting to rollout these changes as of the 15th of November 2021 and hope your as excited as we are.
