NOT YOUR AVERAGE SUNDAY IN KAIKŌURA… 🚂🚂

Two trains are heading for the same patch of coastline.

One coming north from Christchurch behind DC 4375.
One coming south from Blenheim behind Di 1102.

And on Sunday 15 November, they’ll meet in Kaikōura.

The Kaikōura Rail Rendezvous is a rare chance to experience one of New Zealand’s great railway journeys from either direction — with sweeping coastal views, classic locomotives and two very different trains converging on the seaside town.

🌊 Come for the journey.
🍴 Grab some lunch in Kaikōura.
📸 Get the camera out when the trains meet.
🚆 Then settle back in for the ride home.
