We're proud to be partnering with the TSB Festival of Lights as it enters an exciting new chapter ✨

For generations, the festival has brought whānau, visitors and communities together in the heart of Taranaki. This summer, we're thrilled to join TSB and MBIE's Events Boost Fund in supporting one of Aotearoa's most iconic summer events.

The festival returns to Pukekura Park from 19 December 2026 to 24 January 2027, welcoming visitors from across New Zealand and around the world to experience the magic of Taranaki.

As the gateway to our region, we're passionate about supporting events that showcase the very best of Taranaki and encourage more people to discover everything our region has to offer.

We can't wait to see Pukekura Park light up again this summer! 🌟✈️

Te Hono means 'a place of connection.' 🏔️
This terminal wasn't designed to look like Taranaki - it was designed to tell its story. Every element of Te Hono reflects the relationship between Puketapu Hapū and this land, created in genuine partnership with the people who have belonged here for generations.

Next time you pass through, slow down and look around. There's a lot to see. See our terminal artwork come to life at: https://vist.ly/56dyt

Proud to enable research that helps us better understand and prepare for the future of our coastline 🌊

Recently, researchers were back on site using drone and LiDAR technology to monitor coastal erosion along the Taranaki coastline, including an area adjacent to New Plymouth Airport.

By tracking changes over time, this important work is helping build a clearer picture of how our coastline is evolving and what may be at risk in the years ahead.

A big thank you to the research team for their work and for sharing these insights. We look forward to seeing the findings as the project progresses!

In September 2025, New Plymouth Airport became the first airport in Aotearoa to generate the majority of its energy on-site.

Te Matakupenga - our on-site solar farm is now a working part of how we operate every day. It's not a sustainability programme. It's infrastructure.
