Last November when we were on our Sth Island trip we had the pleasure of meeting these gorgeous penguins.
If you ever get the chance to do this, it is well worth seeing.

I spy with my little eye, something beginning with E!

Our monitoring team were more than excited to find two breeding pairs sitting on eggs today ☺

We've been busy analysing our reader data that records when the penguins come and go from the colony, and we have agreed that the first egg was laid on the 30th of April! This is the second breeding season in a row we have had first eggs laid in April, so we look forward to hopefully another bumper season.

Congratulations to Rosie Fakatava who guessed the correct lay date, we'll get in touch to get your penguin adoption to you! We've decided that the first layer can be the adopted penguin. The penguin ( #04164) is a 4 year old female and this is her third year breeding, interestingly she bred early last year as well.

Very close to town was very handy
Having my daughter Kelli who lives at the Sunshine Coast surprise us. Had not seen her for a year.

Madame Hanoi Vietnamese dinner was right on queue for
our last nights yummy dinner.
We had a quick dinner before making our way back to Pullman Adelaide to pack up before our 2 flights home to Auckland.
A small but wonderful group with lots of laughter and chitchat.

The quaint gorgeous town of Hahndorf. So lovely.
Kelli shouted us and one our lovely clients, Pretzels and coffee while Val and I had tea and the lightest delicious scones with cream and Jam. So happy having my daughter Kelli with us. A wonderful surprise.

We couldnt believe the pricing at the Adelaide Farmers Market. The meat looked top knotch and vegies, just wow, so fresh and cheap. They also had freshly baked breads, all looked so good.
Then theres a few more pics of meals etc. And my daughter Kelli from the Sunshine Coast surprised us and stayed 3 nights at Pullman Adelide with us. Loved it all.
