EXCITING NEWS!

All deliveries from today of WATERBOY PARTY ICE will be in our brand new bags. Even if we say so ourselves, we think they look great, though still quite similar in design the noticeable difference here is the addition of the word PARTY to clearly differentiate between our party & salt bags.

While they do look awesome, it’s the actual material that these bags are made out of that has undergone the biggest change and that we are most excited about.
These new bags are just as strong, in fact stronger than the ones we’ve used in the past yet they are made out of 30% less plastic! While we understand that being plastic free is not possible for the sale of our WaterBoy Ice, caring for the environment is still of huge importance to us.

These bags use less plastic, are recyclable and made right here in New Zealand promoting our other philosophy of dealing with small & local businesses. Being made in NZ reduces our transport footprint, and we’re pleased to be supplying these to local retailers for you to purchase.

While our salt ice bags will follow suit, this is likely to be mid next year ensuring all our current stock of salt ice plastic bags is not wasted and therefore disposed of without its intended use.

We were up early with the fishermen & woman today for The Waterboy Mangawhai Contractors fishing competition in rememberance of Shane Hayes.
It was an awesome morning giving out a complimentary bag of ice to ticket holders, meeting some of our local customers and a what a magic spot to see the sunrise up over the Mangawhai Estuary.
