🌴✨ A wonderful stay at Ramada Resort Port Vila ✨🌴

We've just finished our last two nights in Vanuatu at the Ramada Resort, and it's been a fantastic way to round out our trip 💙

From the moment we arrived, the staff have been happy, friendly, welcoming, and full of personality — the sort of people who make a stay memorable 😊

Our Lagoon View Studio has been spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped, and the resort also offers two-bedroom family suites, making it a great option for families as well as couples 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

One of the highlights was a private sunset cruise on the lagoon 🚤🌅

It was just the two of us, along with our skipper Bob, who was incredibly knowledgeable about the area. The cruise included two bottles of wine and a delicious cheese platter, and took us all the way up the lagoon as far as the Holiday Inn Resort, before heading out towards the ocean to view Warwick Le Lagon and Erakor Island Resort from the water. Absolutely worth every cent 🥂🧀

The resort itself has plenty to offer:

🍽️ Fantastic restaurant with an open kitchen and grill
🔥 An amazing fire show on our final night

🌴🚗 Exploring Efate with a local guide 🚗🌴

After checking out of Iririki Island Resort this morning, we hired Wesley and his air-conditioned car for a day of exploring before checking into the Ramada later in the afternoon. A fantastic way to make the most of our final day on Efate 👌

We headed up the coast to Eton Beach, although the wind was a little too strong for swimming today. From there we continued to the beautiful Blue Lagoon 💙

For 1,500 vatu (around NZ$20) entry, we enjoyed a lovely swim in the crystal-clear water. With changing rooms, toilets, picnic areas, and plenty of space to relax, it's easy to spend several hours there.

Next stop was Banana Bay Beach Club for a cold drink and a look around. On a calmer day we definitely would have jumped in for a swim 🌊

We also visited the 83 Islands Distillery, before heading to the Warwick Le Lagon Resort for lunch. So many wonderful memories came flooding back from the family holidays we enjoyed there when the boys were younger. The resort remains beautifully maintained, the gardens are immaculate, and the staff are as welcoming as ever. It's still one of the best family-friendly resorts in Vanuatu, with excellent all-inclusive options, a huge kids' club, golf course, and complimentary non-motorised water sports 🏖️

Our final stop was Breakas Beach Resort, just around the corner but with a completely different feel. While the Warwick sits on the sheltered waters of Erakor Lagoon, Breakas is located on the surf beach and offers a relaxed, adults-only, toes-in-the-sand atmosphere 🌴🍹

💡 Travel Tip: Hiring a local driver for the day is a fantastic way to see more of Efate. You'll get local knowledge, flexible sightseeing, air-conditioned comfort, and can explore at your own pace.

🌴✨ A few final thoughts on our stay at Iririki Island Resort ✨🌴

The last couple of days have certainly been an adventure, and one of the reasons I love travelling is that every stay teaches you something new. It's also a great reminder of why firsthand experience is so valuable when helping clients choose the right resort.

We always knew that moving from The Havannah to Iririki would be a different experience. The Havannah is a boutique adults-only luxury resort, while Iririki offers something quite different — a larger, family-friendly resort right in the heart of Port Vila.

One thing that really stands out about Iririki is its location. Just a two-minute ferry ride from town, it's incredibly convenient while still giving you that island resort feel. With multiple pools, spas, restaurants, and a huge range of accommodation options, there's something here for many different styles of traveller.

After a couple of room moves, we ended up in a beautiful Deluxe Two-Bedroom Overwater Villa, which has been a lovely way to finish our stay. The resort team and management were responsive to our concerns and worked with us to find a better solution, which we appreciated.

Iririki is currently investing heavily in improvements and expansion, including additional accommodation and enhancements to the waterfront area. These upgrades will undoubtedly add to the resort's appeal once completed.

As always, every resort has its ideal client. Iririki is well suited to families, groups, and travellers who enjoy plenty of facilities, a lively atmosphere, and easy access to Port Vila.

One of the biggest benefits of travelling and inspecting properties personally is being able to match the right traveller to the right resort. No two properties are the same, and what works perfectly for one client may not be the best fit for another.

That's why I love seeing these places for myself — so I can give honest, firsthand advice and help clients find the holiday that's right for them 💙✈️

🌅🥂 Sunset cruises really are something special 🥂🌅

There’s something magical about being out on the water as the sun slowly sinks below the horizon, painting the sky in shades of gold, pink, and orange ✨

Our sunset cruise was the perfect way to end a beautiful day in Vanuatu. Gentle ocean breezes, stunning scenery, and a front-row seat to one of nature’s best shows 🌴🌊

💡 Travel Tip: The Havannah's sunset cruise is complimentary for guests. Drinks are available onboard and simply charged back to your room account — making for a very relaxed and enjoyable evening 🍹👌

And then, just when we thought it couldn't get any better... dolphins appeared! 🐬😍 Watching them play alongside the boat as the sun set was one of those unforgettable travel moments that will stay with us for a long time.

We headed out on a snorkelling trip to beautiful Lelepa Island and wow, what an experience 💙🌊

Crystal-clear water, colourful fish, and incredible snorkelling made for a fantastic day exploring the marine life and natural beauty that Vanuatu is so famous for 🐠✨

💡 Travel Tip: When you book an excursion through The Havannah, you're welcomed back with a glass of bubbles to enjoy with your lunch 🥂 Such a lovely touch after a morning of exploring!

The day only got better with a sunset cruise in the evening. As the sun began to set over the horizon, we were treated to a very special surprise... dolphins! 🐬😍

Seeing them swimming alongside us in the wild was one of those unforgettable travel moments that you never tire of. We felt incredibly lucky!

Paul and I are absolutely loving our stay at The Havannah Vanuatu Resort & Spa 💙

From the moment we arrived, we felt ourselves relax. Our Waterfront Villa is exactly that — perched right on the water with a private plunge pool and day bed overlooking the stunning ocean. The only sounds are birdsong and the gentle lapping of the water against the shore 🌊✨

We've already snorkelled straight from our villa and were amazed by the marine life. So far we've spotted a beautiful blue starfish, a seahorse, and an incredible variety of tropical fish 🐠⭐

Today we're looking forward to heading out to Lelepa Island for more snorkelling adventures.

The staff have been wonderfully friendly and welcoming, and the all-inclusive à la carte dining has been exceptional. Fresh local ingredients, beautiful flavours, and meals that showcase the best of Vanuatu 🍽️🌺

So far, this little slice of paradise is exceeding all expectations 😍
